Australian Government regulations, Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Regulations 1993 and Superannuation Industry (Supervision) Act 1993, sanction the acquisition of rare coins and banknotes in Self Managed Superannuation Funds.
To ensure that your Fund is compliant with Australian Government Legislation, Coinworks provides storage, insurance and valuations, free of charge, as detailed below.
STORAGE
Coins and banknotes that are purchased through Coinworks may be stored at the Company’s Safety Deposit facilities and are available for inspection with 24 hours prior notice.

INSURANCE
All purchases made through Coinworks are insured through Lloyds of London. In the case of a SMSF, the Evidence of Insurance, is issued in the name of the SMSF within seven days of the purchase, making the fund fully compliant with Australian Government Regulations for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds.

Valuations are automatically completed at end of financial year. Interim valuations are available on request.
